A new job opportunity comes with a chance to choose a new medical benefit plan.

As a newly hired federal employee, you have 60 days from your eligibility date to sign up for a federal medical plan. As one of the largest national medical plan carriers exclusively for federal employees, GEHA provides you access to an impressive network of doctors, hospitals and other providers. GEHA medical plans

To enroll in a GEHA medical plan, you will need to complete the Health Benefits Election Form (SF 2809) available through OPM or your agency. You also have the option to enroll online, see information listed below. When enrolling, indicate your plan selection by using the GEHA enrollment codes listed below, then turn in your form according to your standard office procedures. The form must be signed by an Agency Benefits Officer to be valid.
