GEHA Health Savings AdvantageSM high-deductible health plan can help you take greater control over how you spend your health care dollars.

  • Combines a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) with a health savings account (HSA).
  • Health care expenses may be covered by money saved in an HSA - money GEHA deposits for you plus money you may also contribute.
  • Vision care is covered for no additional premium.*
  • For in-network care, GEHA pays 95% and you pay only 5% for covered services.
  • Money in your HSA earns tax-free interest.
  • No taxes on GEHA's contributions to your HSA.
  • You may take a tax deduction on your personal contributions.
  • No taxes on HSA withdrawals for eligible medical expenses.
  • GEHA pays your HSA set-up fee and monthly bank fees.


2010 benefits at a glance

Your plan comes with a savings account, funded through monthly deposits from GEHA. When you enroll at OPen Season and stay in the plan all year, GEHA will contribute $720 during the year for Self Only enrollment or $1,440 during the year for Self + Family enrollment.
