Founded by federal employees in 1937

Our spirit of service dates back nine decades to our founding by railway postal clerks who “passed the hat” to cover each other in times of need. 88 years later, we honor our origin by delivering comprehensive coverage and benefits that go beyond for federal employees, retirees and their families.

After more than 20 years serving Postal workers, G.E.H.A was one of the first carriers to expand its product offerings to all civilian federal employees and retirees following the passing of the Federal Employees Health Benefits Act.

Today we’re one of the largest health and dental benefit providers in the country that exclusively serves federal and Postal employees, annuitants, military retirees and their families.
